Who Are We?
The Community & Athletic Cardiovascular Health (CATCH) Network is an expert-led group of physicians, researchers, trainees, and community partners that congregated in 2018 to bring Canada's first recommendations for the cardiovascular screening of competitive athletes. Following this project, our group has been actively involved in ongoing cardiovascular athletic research and health promotion activities that aim to further develop cardiovascular care initiatives for Canadian athletes. Our future work stems around the common goal of preventing sudden cardiac death in sport and communities. In order to reach this objective, our network aims to conduct research, provide national network support, integrate health policies in cardiovascular care, provide educational activities, and facilitate knowledge translation initiatives aimed at improving Canadian cardiovascular health.
